The aim of this project is to showcase black excellence and the successes of women of colour.
We hope that showcasing real people will help to encourage young girls and help them see that success is attainable for everyone regardless of ethnicity or gender.
The plan.
Our aim is to create a collection of stories and experiences from real-life women of colour.
Growing up there was an obvious lack of visibility of real-life successful women of colour, in turn this meant there was a lack of role models.
We’re looking for real women of all backgrounds to participate in our project to share their story and inspire young girls. We will be making a publication of the collection of stories and experiences which we hope to share in a variety of mediums.
Why we’re doing this…
All my life I have felt different because I’m a person of mixed ethnicity. It’s hard.

Growing up there was an obvious lack of visibility of real-life successful women of colour, in turn this meant there was a lack of role models. You just don’t hear enough about successful women of colour, and you so rarely see their successes celebrated in the world of work. I want to change that.
